The laying of the foundation stone for the new Cultural Centre of the CULTURAL SOCIETY LONGOS "LORD BYRON" took place in December 1982 and less than two and a half years later the construction was finished (March 1985).
On May 5th, 1985 the building was ceremonially given two the the public as Cultural Centre.
In attendance of the member of the Parliament Mr. Georgios Papandreou, the chairman of the Cultural Society Longos "Lord Byron", Mr. Panagiotis Tsoniotis, unlocks the front door.
