Children's Theatre Longos
The creative game started again at Longo’s Theatrical Scene. These efforts aim to make the children to be interest in theatre and through this to develop their creativity. This time they presented:
Due to a funeral at 26th of July, the performance took finally place
one day later, on Sunday 27th of July 2009 at 9:30 p.m in the theatre
of Longos Cultural Society.
A second performance happened on Saturday 16th of August 2008.
A few words about Giannis Xanthoulis:
Giannis Xanthoulis was born in 1947 in Alexandroupoli. His parents were
refugees of eastern Thraki. He studied journalism and design as well as
theatre costumes and wrote theatre and prose. He illustrated
children’s books and in 1982 he started to write ‘Ta Savvatiatika’ in
the ‘Eleutherotypia’ newspaper. His most important children theatrical
plays are: "A summer-summer", "Planet Four", "Go up in the roof to eat
the cloud", "A crazy crazy
block of flats" and "Drum, trumpet and red sugared almond".
"The wizard with the colours"
The wizard Skordaleuros animates some stories from the history of
animals which want to take the authority. It is a love story between a
dog and a cat. In this story a taste’s competition happens and the
children have to decide which of them is the most tasty (chocolate,
sugar candy, ice-cream and arpa-colas). The final slogan is:
"All
of us can become wizards ..."
