Theatre performance "The Dream of the Rho" - by Stella Michailidou.

The creative game is continued at Longo’s Theatrical scene. These efforts aim to make the children to be interest in theatre. Children's Theatre Longos presented "The Dream of the Rho" - by Stella Michailidou in the context of the Cultural Summer 2009 on Sunday 2nd of August 2009 in the theatre of Longos cultural society.

Once upon a time ...
... there was the greek alphabet with its characters, all of them playing one with another, creating words and sentences ...
Suddenly the stubborn Rho - influenced by a magic potion - promts the question of the order: Why not to be the first character in the alphabet? Some consonants and one vowel felt very attracted to the Rho and so they decided to disappear from the alphabet. The letter-eater,the awful-one, Psili and Dasia, a postman and many others are involved in the story. So, the characters show to us our life, our weakness and assets, the importance of cooperation and the fact that every being is unique.

The author
Stella Michailidou has studied at Thessalonici's University and at the State Theatre of Northern Greece. Since the end of the 80's she is busy with children's theatre. Her work "Walk in the forrest" (1992), "The Dream of the Rho" (1996) and "Tzitzimitzichotziria" (2005) were performed by the Experimental Stage and many amateur theatres all over Greece. She wrote the fairytale "Stories for Black Cats" (2000), which she staged too.
