Ceremonial Laying of Wreath - Wednesday, October 28, 2015 Day of honour and deep respect for the heroes of 1940.   Wreaths were laid down at the statue of heroes of war after the Service in the church of Saint Dimitrios in Longos Aigialeias.   On behalf of the Longos’ Cultural Society ‘Lord Byron’, this was done by the chairman Mr. Ierotheos Mourikis.

There was a speech of Mrs. Frau Maria Tsamtsouri-Kapetzoni, member of the district council and former chairwoman
of the Longos’ Cultural Society.

The priest of our parish, Christos Tsoulkas, closed the ceremony showing at the 5 important words written on
the monument:
