Christmas Celebration Children's Theatre Longos Choir of the Cultural Society Awards
The administrative council of the CULTURAL SOCIETY LONGOS invited the
members and friends of our society to the
Annual Christmas Celebration
on Friday, December 28, 2018, at 6.00 p.m. in the rooms of the Cultural
Centre of Longos.
The theatre-group of our cultural society presented as every year a
short sketch and the choir performed its rehearsed repertoire. Afterwards the school leavers of the year 2018 have been awarded for their admission to universities.
Christmas cookies were offered and small gifts distributed to the children.
Mr. Ierotheos Mourikis, chairman of the CULTURAL SOCIETY LONGOS, warmly welcomed the guests to the Christmas party and presented the evening's programme.

Manos Hadjidakis wrote a special story years ago, the "Island of Emotions", a touching and tender text about love and its value.
The narrator begins the story ...
The feelings of compassion, joy, wealth, healing, knowledge, relief and love were all there.
It is time that keeps love alive.
The young and old guests enjoyed the evening.

After the performance of the choir the successful students have been rewarded by the chairman of Longos Cultural Society "Lord Byron" for their initiation in the Universities:
Olympios Tsiflidis Eleni Kokmotou (Faculty of Economics, (Faculty of Theology, National
Aristoteles Universität Thessaloniki) and Kaposistrias University of Athens)
Christina Mitropoulou Michail Stefos (Merchant Naval Academy) (Merchant Naval Academy)

Konstantina Papantonopoulou Antigoni Mouka (Faculty of Psychology, University of Crete) (Faculty of Philology, University of Ioannina)
Everyone - and especially our little friends - enjoyed this beautiful evening.
At the end of the event, all the children received a small gift ...
... and the calendar 2019 of the cultural association Longos - like every year a donation of Mrs. Maria Dourou-Sollbach - was sold.
