The CULTURAL SOCIETY LONGOS observes the problem of waste disposal, which plagues us already in the fourth month, and participates together with other associations in the municipal assemblies as well as at the rally on May 7, 2018. We try to collectively manage our waste by reducing its volume and sorting it. There are already two receiving sites for recyclable waste in our neighborhood:     Akraio/Rion:  KONSEP «Recycling straight from the horse's mouth»     Krathio/Akrata:  citizens' initiative East-Aigialeia We are trying to initiate another site in our area.

We ask our fellow citizens to realize that it is in the interest of all to produce as little garbage as possible until the problem is solved. WE DO NOT THROW IN THE WASTE:    •   Plastic, aluminum cans, paper We clean them and store them in bags. Those of us who travel by car to Patras or Akrata do not forget to take the recyclables we have collected with us and hand them over at the above points.    •   Branches We put them in a corner of our property.    •   Furniture, mattresses etc. And, of course, we use the trash cans, which are (unfortunately only here and there ) emptied by the community, so there is no waste in the streets. We ALL try hard so that the health of our children is not endangered!
