The authorThe author, stage director, actress and rhymester Kelly Stamoulaki was born in Athens and studied at the drama schools Weaki and Chatzikou and film direction at the New York College. Later she took theatre seminars with Magia Lymperopoulou and worked as an actress with different ensembles. For many years she taught drama to primary school pupils. In 2002 she established the ensemble "Avanti". Her plays "Iliada", "The prince and the poor", "Storm", "Height or width" and others have been performed often. Her screenplays for the short films "Beautiful Lou" and "The purple headsquares" won the award "Giannis Ritsos" at the International-Film-Festival of Patras in 2008. At the Festival of Phantastic Films she was honoured with the award for best costumes.

"To the end of the dream ..."... is a witty and optimistic playi full of tenderness. A little girl, the orphan Petrina, is going to travel with her unique "baggage" - her brave soul and innocent heart - on a journey full of obstacles. Leaving her close friends Roukeri, Alatospyro and the donkey Palikara, Petrina hopes to find her singe relative - her grandfather. At last, after plenty of difficulties, she meets Triantafyllos finds true love.The play shows the idea that men can get better and evil can be defeated. We have to fight for the realisation of our dreams - if only one of them becames true ... it's worth the trouble.

The chairman of the CULTURAL SOCIETY LONGOS "LORD BYRON", Mr. Ierotheos Mourikis, welcomed the audience of the CHILDREN's THEATRE LONGOS to this event with warm words and emphasized that the performances of the CHILDREN's THEATRE LONGOS have been taking place continuously for 12 years under the direction of Mrs. Maria Dourou-Sollbach.
Mr. Mourikis explained to the guests that the performances of the CHILDREN's THEATRE LONGOS always took place free of charge. However, the guests could and can bring donations in kind to support the association "THE SMILE OF THE CHILD".The chairman also thanked the spectators for their generous help for the THE SMILE OF THE CHILD. |
