The CULTURAL SOCIETY LONGOS "LORD BYRON" organized in cooperation with MATTHEOS-TOURS - Aigio a three-day excursion to EDESSA - LOUTRA POZAR - NYMPHAEON - KASTORIA - PRESPES from Friday, February 3, until Sunday, February 5, 2023.

Participation fee: 120 €/person. The price included transportation by luxury coach and the cost of accommodation with breakfast at the hotel "PHILOXENIA" in Loutra Pozar and at the hotel "KASTORIA" in Kastoria. Not included is the accommodation tax (Law 4839/2016) which was paid directly to the accommodation. Excursion programme February 3 until February 5, 2023 EDESSA - LOUTRA POZAR - NYMPHAEON - KASTORIA - PRESPES Day one Gathering at 6.30 a.m. at the fountain in Longos and departure for our first destination, the town of Edessa.       EDESSA                                  Read more ... We followed the Ionia-Odos with a first stop in Bizani (Ioannina) for our morning coffee. Then we continued on the Egnatia Odos with a short stop in Grevena. In the town of Edessa we had lunch and visited the park with the waterfalls. After lunch we drove to our hotel in Loutra Pozar. After settling into our rooms, we were able to visit the baths in the afternoon. Dinner in local tavernas.       LOUTRA POZAR                      Read more ... Day two On the morning of the second day, those of us who wished took another bath in the thermal baths. After breakfast, we left the thermal baths and visited Nymphaeon. The village has been classified as a preserved traditional settlement since 1978 and is listed in several travel guides as one of the ten most beautiful villages in Europe. In Nymphaeon we had lunch and continued our way to Kastoria. After settling into our hotel by the lake, we were able to take a walk by the lake and have dinner in the town's tavernas.       NYMPHAEON                          Read more ...       KASTORIA                              Read more ... Day three After breakfast we set off and, after a bus ride around the lake and a short stop at the monastery of Panagia Mavriotissa, we continued to Prespes National Park. After reaching Mikri Prespes, we visited the small island of St. Achilleios and then continued to Megali Prespes and the village of Psarades, where we had lunch. After lunch we made our way back.
