CUT OF THE NEW YEAR CAKE

The administrative council of the CULTURAL SOCIETY LONGOS "LORD BYRON" has invited the members and friends of our society to the CUT OF THE NEW YEAR CAKE on Sunday, January 29, 2023, at 6.30 p.m. at the Cultural Centre of Longos.

After two years of pandemic, the CULTURAL SOCIETY LONGOS once again cut the new year cake with members and friends.

Reverend Christos Tsolkas said the blessing and cut the first piece for Christ.

Afterwards, the chairman, Mr Ierotheos Mourikis, cut the other pieces and the mayor of Aegialeias,
Mr Dimitris Kalogeropoulos, honoured us with his presence.

The "lucky coin" was distributed by lot among those present.

This year there were two lucky winners: Mr Stratis Grigoriou and Mrs Danai Papaloukopoulou.

The lucky coins were matched by two gifts:
A one-day excursion donated by MATTHEOS-Tours and a lucky charm,
donated by Mrs Katharina Moriati.

During the event, Nikos Mitropoulos was also honoured for being accepted into the University.
The award was accepted by his grandmother.

At the end, the mayor did not miss the opportunity to sing a little song ...
