Suggestions and ideas for events for the
100th BIRTHDAY of the CULTURAL SOCIETY LONGOS

The CULTURAL SOCIETY LONGOS "LORD BYRON" is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. The Managing Committee has invited the members and friends of the CULTURAL SOCIETY LONGOS and all residents of the village to Sunday, 14 April 2024 at 11.00 am at the Longos Cultural Centre to discuss suggestions and ideas that will be helpful and inspiring in the organisation of festive events throughout the year.

The one and a half hour exchange of ideas took place for the first time in this format and produced interesting results: Except for a central event where the history of the CULTURAL SOCIETY LONGOS "LORD BYRON" will be presented, the other proposed events (theatrical performances, street theatre, musical events, tribute to Lord Byron, WORLD OF CHILDREN - knowledge and games, traditional shadow play, ...) will also be dedicated to the 100th anniversary of F.O.L. For the main event a committee was appointed to organise and coordinate the event. The committee consists of the following: Antonopoulou Vassiliki, Dourou Eleni, Dourou-Sollbach Maria, Rodopoulos Georgios, Sfikas Leonidas, Sollbach Georgios, Tsamtsouri-Kapetzoni Maria, Tsamtsouris Nikolaos.
