The CULTURAL SOCIETY LONGOS is on the side of the residents of East and West Aigialia, expressing its support in their struggle to stop the opening of roads and the placement of wind turbines in reforested lands of the region. Furthermore, the society opposes any action aimed at the creation of floating or fixed wind farms in the wider region of Western Greece.
This reaction is linked to the CULTURAL SOCIETY's environmental concerns about the impact that such activities could have on local flora, fauna and climate change. Our aim is sustainable development of the region that respects the environment and local communities.
