The CULTURAL SOCIETY LONGOS "LORD BYRON" is hosting Mr. Ioannis Ermopoulos, speaker for the lecture on "Creation – Origin of Species." (The Evolution of Life from the Very First Minute!) – Charles Darwin. on Saturday, June 20, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. at the Longos Cultural Centre. ADMISSION FREE The lecture is addressed to the general public.

Ioannis Ermopoulos is a PhD in Civil Engineering, Professor Emeritus of the National (Metsovian) Technical University of Athens (NTUA). In addition to his many years of teaching at NTUA for almost 50 years, he has authored a large number of scientific books, numerous scientific publications in international journals, organization and participation in Greek and International Scientific Conferences, participation in European Scientific Committees and in major Research Programs, Visiting Professor in the USA and Great Britain, participation in Seminars and Lectures in Greece and abroad. Ioannis Ermopoulos served as a member of the NTUA Senate, Vice President of the School of Civil Engineering, Director of the Structural Engineering Department and Director of the Metal Structures Laboratory.
